A brand new livestock team in the region is making headlines achieving the highest recorded price for fat lambs in 2019 at the Central West Livestock Exchange this week.
On Tuesday, Ray White VC Reid topped the weekly lamb sale for the third time in as many months including having reached a record $330 per head, only six weeks after setting a saleyard record of $320 in May. This week’s pen was 55 lambs offered by Kevin, Robyn and Ross McMahon from Tullamore.
“They always do a good job with their stock whether it be cattle or sheep and it is a credit to Kevin, Robyn and Ross in these extremely difficult conditions” Scott Reid said after Tuesday’s record price was reached.
Ray White VC Reid is the amalgamation of local business VC Reid & Sons with Scott Reid and Murray Reid joining their well known business to cover the broader areas of Forbes, Parkes and Condobolin adding to the expansion of Ray White Forbes which encompasses offices in those three towns with 26 staff, 1000 rental properties. The Ray White team offer agribusiness and rural property sales, water sales specialists, mortgage broking and now livestock sales.
Tracie Robertson, the Director of Ray White in the region for over 20 years said, “We are so excited to be working with Scott, Murray and Julie and look forward to now providing a full suite of services to agri customers across the 3 towns of Forbes, Parkes and Condobolin under the Ray White V.C. Reid banner. I know the Reid family, along with our existing agents Sam Clarke and Sam Matchett certainly have the drive and determination to work hard on consistently securing great results for our clients like those achieved on Tuesday.”
“It’s business as usual for us at V.C Reid,” Scott said, “but it’s time for us to grow our business and we look forward to teaming up with Ray White to provide better quality to our new and existing customers.”
Julie is keen to head up our support team and will also co-ordinate with our operations with the broader Ray White Livestock team including Paddy Ward in Condobolin, Kay Newbigging in Parkes and Kim Watts working in the rural property and water sales markets not only in NSW but all over Australia.
“We are certainly changing up a few gears” says Murray Reid after the sale as Murray looks forward to continuing and growing his agency work and his well known work within the Pork Industry.
